Assessor Parcel Number (APN)
unique number assigned to each tract of land by the tax assessor. The APN can be used within an assessor's records to identify the land and view a plat, if one exists.
Example: When visiting the Alpha County tax assessor's Web site, the investigator was able to find details about the property quickly after submitting the assessor parcel number.
