American Television and Radio Commercials Festival
annual worldwide competition established in 1960 to honor excellence in advertising and to stimulate higher standards in the advertising industry. Broadcast commercials are entered in various product or campaign categories and are judged by a panel of advertising creative executives and groups of technical specialists on a panel of 450 members representing 16 cities in 10 countries from 5 continents. Winners are awarded a gold statuette called a Clio.
