Corporate Blogging: What are the Fortune 500 Doing?
Today I received an invitation to participate in a really cool volunteer blogging project. I got an email from Easton Ellsworth of Know More Media to join a project to research and document the Fortune 500's blogging or lack of blogging. It's open to any and all bloggers who would like to contribute to the project. You can get info and instructions on the Fortune 500 Blog Project Wiki. The project is also being sponsored and the wiki hosted by the Blog Business Summit.
Here are some reviews by Easton Ellsworth, if you're curious about how this project is evolving.
Over the next few weeks, as I do my research, I'll be posting the results of my findings here and they'll be linked on the Wiki. For me, this is a great way to learn more about corporate blogging: what works, who is actually doing it, and how blogs support big, big business. I've also picked companies that I have an interest in or that I support with my consumer dollars in one way or another. My picks are Costco, USAA, HealthNet, Southwest Airlines and Whole Foods Market.
