Client Data Review: Troubleshooting Inventory Tool
One of the most useful additions to 2010 Client Data Review is the ability to quickly identify and correct inventory issues, all from one screen.
I had to break the screen below in half to make it readable in this space. Note the highlighted space at the top for selection criteria.
Here are some examples of how you can use this:
- Check quantities bought = 0 and quantities sold = 0 to identify inventory items that might be obsolete
- Check markup less than [you define]% to identify items with erroneous sales prices.
- Check negative quanty to identify sales of non-existent inventories, which can cause inaccurate inventory pricing and cost of goods sold.
- Check inactive items with Qty on Hand to identify possible write-offs
From a single screen, you have a tool that makes it easy to identify and solve inventory problems.
