CHEAPER TRANSPORT BY BUS
TAKE THE BUS AND CUT COSTS
Airlines are doing it and now buses are following. That is, the low cost carrier on wheels are starting to use the same principles as budget airlines.
Coach companies such as Megabus, who made a stir recently with $1 fares between Pittsburgh and Chicago (I could only find $10 fares but that’s not bad either) are offering cheaper fares than the conventional buslines.
Megabus says that by using online ticketing and sidewalk stops instead of ticket counters and bus terminals it can keep costs down. It is running various routes throughout central and northeastern states. This low-cost model was imported from their sister company in the UK, a country that has specialized in transport, has it not, since time began.
If it keeps costs down, lets you see the countryside, gives you time to think or work on the laptop or blackberry and eliminates teh hassles at airports, then it suits me! Check out your next trip on www.megabus.com
