BlogHer, a Blog Conference Just for the Ladies
Tomorrow, history will be made. The first-ever blog conference devoted to female bloggers, BlogHer, begins this weekend, July 30.
According to the website, "BlogHer is a network for women bloggers to draw on for exposure, education, and community. By holding a day-long conference on July 30, 2005, and establishing an online hub, BlogHer is initiating an opportunity for greater visibility, learning and success for individual women bloggers and for the community of bloggers as a whole."
Elisa Camahort, a colleague of mine and president of Worker Bees, a business blog consultancy, is co-founder of this signal event. And, boy, has she and the BlogHer board done it right! They've put together a first-rate conference. It's been so well done that registration is closed. They're booked solid with attendees!
Let me extend my personal congratulations to Elisa and BlogHer for breaking new ground in business blogging. It's a proud day for bloggers of both sexes.
(BTW, a disclaimer: Though the event is targeted to women bloggers, men could attend too. I knew I should have registered!)
