Bizarre Listings on eBay
In an ongoing attempt at finding that next 'Virgin Mary grilled cheese sandwich', people are still attempting to sell pretty bizarre things on eBay. BizarreBids.Com scouts out and posts strange and odd auctions on eBay. Among the entries recently posted are an auction for a Dale Earnhardt Jr. potato chip and an auction for a phone that was allegedly wiretapped by President Bush.
Don't bother looking for the Chip or Phone auctions on eBay - they've both been pulled off since the items were posted on BizarreBids. I'll bet eBay has to work overtime (and on major holidays) to locate and pull these kinds of auctions. eBay has long been known as an auction house for peculiar stuff and I know they'd probably like that reputation to go away. So they have this comprehensive list of prohibited items (which I'm fairly certain is getting longer each time I look at it).
Yet people still try to stretch that line between unique and unacceptable. Entrepreneurial spirit or just crazy? You decide. With eBay's ever growing list of unacceptable items, anyone who wants to make a sustainable business from eBay is best advised to stay within the mainstream borders.
