6 Apps to Help You Keep Track of Important Business Contacts
Entrepreneurs are always on-the-go, and with the concept of a Rolodex now obsolete, it is now more pertinent than ever for entrepreneurs to streamline the way they organize and keep track of business contacts. That’s why we asked six entrepreneurs from Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) the following question:
Q. What's the best app you have used to keep track of important business contacts while on-the-go/mobile?
1. Google Contacts
Google Contacts is an address book that’s built into Gmail. I love it because it's so much more than just that. You can add just about any possible contact info to your contacts. There is also a way to save notes on each contact, plus you can see all correspondence with that person too. —Elliot Bohm, CardCash.com
2. WhatsApp
WhatsApp uses the phone's contacts to allow you to connect with individuals. Once their contact information is saved in your phone, you can send photos, voice memos, create group chats, and, of course, talk via text. All of the person's contact information can be included, and you can then reach them regardless of where they are in the world—all you need is Wi-Fi or a 3G connection. —Marcela DeVivo, National Debt Relief
3. Pipedrive
As someone in the services business, keeping track of business contacts and always being in the loop is imperative for the smooth functioning of my company. Pipedrive CRM helps you track just that with incredible simplicity, making the entire process highly efficient. It integrates with your calendar to keep you up-to-date on events, meetings, as well as follow-ups. —Rahul Varshneya, Arkenea LLC

4. Streak
Streak is a browser extension for Gmail, but it also has an iOS app that integrates email with a customer's pipeline. It's great for keeping business contacts in the same frame of reference as a deal flow. All data is immediately synced with other members of the same pipeline, so everyone stays in the loop as correspondence evolves with that contact, regardless of which device is being used. —Dave Nevogt, Hubstaff.com
5. Salesforce1
As one of the most powerful CRM platforms, Salesforce is great to have with me wherever I go. Thankfully the company has a fantastic mobile app for iOS called Salesforce1. With the app you can easily access your contacts and accounts, as well as active deals, opportunity history, and outstanding tasks. They even give you access to your Salesforce dashboards on-the-go so you're always in the know. —Doreen Bloch, Poshly Inc.
6. LinkedIn
As an international business person, I travel a lot between the United States, Africa, Europe, and Asia. As a result, it's imperative that I have a universal solution to managing business contacts on-the-go. By far, the most effective mobile app to keep track of my contacts is LinkedIn. Unlike business cards that provide minimal information about a contact, LinkedIn provides details beyond basic contact info. —Obinna Ekezie, Wakanow.com
