    20+ Tips for Cold Calling in the New Year  PT 15
    19.Develop your business by developing and expanding your services
    My business has expanded quite a bit since I first put out my shingle some 25 plus years ago. When I first began my career I only offered appointment setting services. These days I’ve expanded my firms services to include public relations, business development and consulting services. I don’t take on too many appointment setting clients these days (it’s a thankless job and 30 years on the phone is quite enough thank you) but every now and again like an old race horse chomping at the bit-I have to get out there for one more race. One special account that I have to be apart of helping to make into a more successful business. Over the years I’ve established myself as a writer and author, consultant and expert in my field. And one of the few Black owned telemarketing consulting firms in the industry. There aren’t too many of us out there any more and certainly not many who’ve been doing this for 3 decades. So the last 4 tips I’m going to leave you with will hopefully serve you as you develop your marketing and cold calling campaign for years to come.

    20. Respect and be respected. There are very few  more thankless jobs than that of the cold caller. No one profession gets the total lack of respect that cold calling does. If you don’t have respect for your cold caller they won’t have respect for the work they do.
