Dictionary of Marketing Terms: pop-in
pop-in
short paid announcement by a radio or television advertiser that may be of special interest to the viewer or listener. For example, during the holiday season a common pop-in by advertisers may be, "Company X wishes you and your family a very merry Christmas and a happy new year." In this example, there is no mention of the company's product, but the viewer or listener is informed that Company X is the sponsor of the message. Also called image liner.
