Pentium III
a high-performance microprocessor introduced by Intel in 1999. It resembles the Pentium II but adds an extended superscalar mode for the fast floating-point calculations often used in graphical games. The Pentium III communicates with RAM at a bus speed of 100 or 133 MHz.
