It’s not often I get excited about an aggregated site. After all, I write at one of the better aggregated content sites here at AllBusiness.Com. But here’s a new aggregated site that’s worth a look. Created by none other than Guy Kawasaki, AllTop.Com is an RSS fed aggregated site that gets fresh content from a wide variety of sources every 10 minutes.
For readers of this blog, the category of interest is the Small Business Category at AllTop. There you will find the best resources in small business content from across the web. It’s mostly blogs, but there are some periodical bases there as well (for example, the New York Times business article base). You can roll your mouse over the content to see a pop-up of the excerpt or you can click the title to visit the page.
How do they know what to add? Well you can’t add your site, you must be Twittered in. Seriously, the About page says that it relies on a lot of social content to decide what to add, but that it relies heavily on Twitter. That keeps the spam out!
Staying on top of business news is crucial to your own home based business because no one can be an island. Yet we can’t just spend our day browsing aimlessly. AllTop does a great job of aggregating content for you so you don’t have to spend that time. Worth a visit!
