Here’s a couple of tips that I’ve picked up about getting your Windows Mobile device to work better and getting you to work better on it.
Windows Mobile 6 Standard devices can’t create Microsoft Office documents, but they can edit them. So create a blank document in each of the apps you use and save it to your device. Open, edit, and save it with a different name. Voila, now you’ve created a new Office document on your portable device.
Windows Mobile Device Center (www.microsoft/com/windowsmobile/devicecenter.mspx) replaces ActiveSync in Windows Vista. This turns out to be a good thing because it is easier to use. Download the latest version and start syncing important data.
Windows Mobile 6 never actually quits an application – they just keep running in the background. Eventually this all adds up and will slow your device to a crawl. Launch Task Manager (Start – Setting – System Tab – Task Manager – Running Programs. Now click Stop All. It’s easier and faster than rebooting.
