Do you ever get stuck when you’re putting together a brochure or ad or maybe a sales related letter? I know I do. Sometimes it’s hard to find just the right word or phrase (so what you write doesn’t sound like a carbon copy of everything else out there).
When you use printed words to promote your business, you hold a lot of power in your pen (or keyboard). The right words can stimulate interest in people. The wrong words will turn them away. Well-written marketing pieces can move people to action and help you turn them into customers or clients.
A few years ago, I found a resource that has bailed me out many times when my marketing muse was on vacation and I’d find myself stuck for just the right phrasing. It’s called Words that Sell and it’s written by Richard Bayan. Actually he has several versions in print now because the first book became so popular.
It’s available at Barnes & Noble, Borders Books and Amazon.com.
If you do any writing to promote your business, you should add this book to your collection.
