That’s my question today! As a small business owner I am finding it continually more difficult to grow. And by grow I mean hire more people…. you know. Hire more people which put more dollars on the street which puts more dollars into the economy which keeps the engine moving – not slowing it down with regulations and “hoops” I have to jump through…. just to hire an employee.
We pay reasonable salaries, profit share, bonuses, matching 401k plans tons of benefits and have a culture that ensures everyone here feels respected and appreciated every day (hell, just ask them). We do the right thing everyday and because we “make money” at it (which is I think we are suppose to do) we are penalized by new regulations and taxes that keep us from growing. Someone tell me how it is better for me to give more money to a government that has proven over an over again that it cannot manage it and in its history has produced no revenue nor could it….. Than to retain it and “yes” spend it – spend it IN our economy.
