When you are searching for a home based business opportunity, you will find no shortage of them. But how many are legit and how many of them are scams? And you can’t really draw a fine line between legit opportunity and scam; sometimes there is a large gray area in between.
If you see something you might be interested in, try taking a close look at who’s running the company. I’m not talking about who is endorsing it. You will often see people who endorse the home business opportunity, but who may not have anything at all to do with the actual operation and management of the company.
Take a look at who is actually behind the company. Have they had legal problems in the past? Have they served prison time? (You would be surprised how many times scam artists get out of prison and start a new opportunity). Have they started a company in the past and failed? If so, what caused them to fail?
Finding the answers to important probing questions like this will help determine if this is something you want to get involved with. A company – and this applies to home business opportunities – is only as good as the people running it.
