Do you look the part? Are you trying to attract high end clients with a low end look? It will never happen. You need to look like the success you want to be — both online and face-to-face.
I’ll never forget a story a business colleague (who now has a huge remodeling business — 25 years strong) told me about when he first started out.
He pulled up to a prospect’s house for a sales call. At that time he didn’t have a ton of money and was struggling to get his business off the ground. He didn’t present himself well — he arrived in his dirty work clothes and beaten up truck.
He met with the prospect and thankfully got the job. But the client told him she almost didn’t hire him because of his looks. She couldn’t fathom how someone who looked so unkempt could do a good job remodeling her house.
He never showed up at a prospect’s house looking like that again.
What about you? Do you look the part? How important a role do you think looks play in getting your prospect’s to say yes? Leave me a comment.
