“Question: I’ve been working a side business developing software components for about three years now. It is finally starting to take off, and some time ago I decided that I was ready to quit my high-paying engineering job and become a full-time entrepreneur. Unfortunately, I’m having a hard time deciding when exactly is the right time to make the big leap.
In preparation I’ve managed to save approximately one-half a year’s salary and have a steady income from my side business equal to one-half my current salary. Is there a list of things I should complete before quitting my job? Also looking for any words of advice from those who have been in a similar situation.

– When to quit? It is a tough questions and at some point you have to take a leap of faith. Preparing beforehand is a good idea and something that you should put a lot of thought into. -ed.
