Great news, Guy Kawasaki, one of my favorite folks and author of The Art of the Start
and several other books IS BLOGGING!
In this post called, Mantras versus Missions, he talks about the value of a great mantra. I wrote about Guy’s advice about mantras here and I started a rough list of potential mantras for my business. Here was my initial list from November, 2004:
- State-of-the-art management
- Results through better management
- Focus + action = results
- Business velocity
- People at their best
Boy, these do not resinate with me at all now. Based on his examples, I am more drawn to something like this:
- Zooming toward goals
- Fast and effective advice
- Heavy on results, hold the BS (too long, I know)
- Facilitating your greatness
- Align for success
- Low hassle solutions
Alas, these stink too.
How would you describe my BLOG?
Tell you what, this could be fun. I will send a free copy of the hot new book More Space to the person who offers the mantra for Management Craft that I like the most. Post your idea in the comments. Open to anyone in the world. I will update the post with the winner.
What’s your mantra?
