Everyone likes lists of the “10 most”, “10 best”, etc. Tim Berry was challenged to come up with a list of the “10 Traits of Successful Entrepreneurs” — and this on the heels of posting “10 Signs You’re Probably an Entrepreneur“.
One of his 10 Traits of Successful Entrepreneurs that I particularly liked is Knowing what they don’t know. That is so important to success. At least I’m sure that the obverse is true, that people who don’t know what they don’t know are set up for failure. As Berry puts it, knowing what you don’t know is much more important than what you do know. You can always hire people to handle what you don’t know, and you’ll choose better hires if you have a clear understanding of what it is you need of them.
