Informationweek’s discussion started with Interop’s Energy Camp the other day, where attendees took a look at what the green movement means to business travel. They feel that business travel remains a necessity for certain projects but most are working towards using technology, not airplanes, to keep connected. They end off the discussion with recognizing that the upandcomers have been raised with email, web cams and facebook, and this is where real change is going to come. When Gen Y is in management, they’re not going to see a need to be physically with a person to work with them.
