Ask your readers what they want.
What do your readers really want to know? When is the last time you asked them? And how did you ask? A simple question in your ezine, a question on your blog, a poll, a survey?
How in touch are you with your market, really?
I’ll bet you weren’t using blogs as much last year as you are this year. And Facebook – well, last year it was a rare occasion, but this year, everybody’s using it. But are your readers? How can you know? Ask them.
One of our favorite tools is www.Vizu.com, a simple poll you can create and put up on your blog to query what your readers what to know most.
Another tool we’ve just started using is Skribit which allows you to post a small widget on your blog that requests feedback from readers AND allows them to vote on the suggestions.
