Few office interactions can be as confusing as a holiday gift exchange. To take the guesswork out of the holiday gift-giving equation this year, involve the entire office to eliminate the possibility that some staffers will receive presents while others end up empty-handed. Decide beforehand on the maximum dollar amount to be spent on gifts, keep it anonymous, give plenty of advance notice, and urge common sense. This last part means not giving inappropriate, sexually suggestive, or otherwise problematic gifts. By instructing your employees to take extra care in selecting their items, you can be sure that every recipient can fully enjoy his or her gift.
