Hi, I am Russell Shaw, but my colleagues in the blogosphere, and in the real world- the carbon-based as opposed to the silicon-based world – call me “Russ.”
Please, no “Mr. Shaw.” Calling me that is not a sign of respect, it is a sign of formality, and I don’t do formality.
I don’t do formality, but I do technology. I have been writing about enterprise technology for years, including regular pieces for Investor’s Business Daily as well as blogs about convergence and advanced telephony for ZDNet and a blog about BlackBerry for a group of blog sites that is now part of AOL.com.
In my Tech@Work blog I will be interpreting new and existing tech solutions and products of interest to large and mid-size companies and institutions, but for individual users of technologies as well. That could mean the sole legal or accounting practitioner, or even the person who uses computers to make a living out of their home office. I, incidentally, am one of you.
And I invite your responses to my posts. Let’s turn this into a dialogue between communities of technology users.
So time’s a-wastin’- let’s get started!
