I know there are a lot of you who don’t use outlook as your mail client, but there are plenty of us who do. And if you’re one who does, read on.
If you’re like me, you spend (waste!) a lot of time every day, week or month filing sent emails into the proper folders. I used to do it monthly by sorting the sent folder into “from” order and then mass moving emails. It was still a chore.
So I went poking around the interwebs to see if there were any tools to save me some time. And that’s how I found QuickFile4Outlook.
This. Tool. Is. So. Cool.
It will save you a bunch of time too. Here’s how it works. When you write or respond to an email, it prompts with an option of where to file the item. Yep, it’s that easy. No weeding sent emails out of your sent box. Plus it remembers where you previously filed similar emails, so it will display that file name for you and if it’s the right place you simply click and you’re done.
It’s hard to explain without pictures, but I assure you it is easy! Take a minute and watch the video. If you’re not sure it’s something you want, they make that easy too. You can get a fully functional version for 90 days free. You’ll just have to put up with those nags reminding you to buy the full version.
That’s where I started was with the trial version. After a few days — being the impatient person I am — I was convinced of the value and decided to spring for the full version (not all that tough of a decision, it’s only $39.95).
Then came a bombshell. Four days after I paid for the full version, I got an email about a new release with all sorts of bells and whistles (and $10 off for a few days if I upgraded). I sure whacked my head on that one! It looked like my impatience was going to cost me a few bucks more. But that’s not what happened. I sent an email to support outlining my situation. They promptly responded and offered me the new deal for the new version. Awesome. I am a raving fan — and a customer for as long as I use outlook and they provide tools.
So they not only have a great product, they have great customer service too. If you are frustrated with wasting time on your sent emails, QuickFile4Outlook is definitely worth checking out. And if you get it, come on back here and tell me what you think by leaving a comment.
