Did you know you can have a professionally produced video made for your company for under $200? I didn’t either until one of my readers pointed me toward www.GoLookInside.com.
For $199 they will send a professional videographer to your business. They’ll shoot up to 45 minutes of tape. Then they’ll edit, add music and host your video on their servers for one year. Oh, they also will write your promo script for you, in case you’re not sure what to say.
Even though they host the video for you, you can link to it from your web site. So, your website visitors can watch your video without ever leaving your website.
I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of using videos to promote small, local businesses. One objection has been that the benefit really never met the cost. But, at $199 maybe that objection is now a moot point.
Another objection is that I’ve always felt most people will not take the time to watch a video because it’s just another commercial. I know I’m not interested in watching more commercial than I have to.
If all your video does is feature you talking about how great your business is, then even $199 is a waste of money.
If you want to make a video effective in promoting your business then give people a reason to watch. Use the video to show them how you’re different from the competition. And remember, you need to be different in a way that is useful to your potential customer.
The bottom line is, use your video to tell a story that helps people understand (and believe) that your business can do something for them. Do that and your $199 will be well-spent.
