I wanted to give you a brief update on where the 52 Bloggers in 52 Weeks project stands. We have had great response from small business bloggers who would like to be included in the project. In just a few days I’ll be sending out an email to each of the bloggers that have been selected for inclusion, and we’ll begin the project (hopefully) in short order. In fact, the project may spawn an entirely new blog here at Allbusiness.com.
Several ideas have also been discussed, one of which is an ebook done after the fashion of Seth Godin’s 99 Cows which will compile all the posts over time. We might even do a “blog to book” type thing. Fellow AB blogger Denise Wakeman has agreed to help in turning this into reality.
Another idea I had that I’ve yet to discuss with anyone is to create a “Carnival of the Small Business Blogs.” You may be familiar with the ever-popular Carnival of the Capitalists. This would follow that format.
Perhaps my professional mission in life (heh) is to join the likes of Denise and another AB blogger John Jantsch in trumpeting the use of blogs as a marketing communications channel for small business. It is my hope that the 52 blogs project will be a small step in that direction.
