Two weeks ago, Market Place interviewed me about how I would fix the economy. It’s part of a series. This installment was for an “ordinary person” type view of the economy. Anyway, you can listen below and hear some of my thoughts on fixing the economy. Wait til the end, though, because that’s my 10 seconds.
I’ve done a bit of radio broadcasting. So I know that a 15 minute interview can mean a 10 second clip. So a lot of what I said in the interview is missing from the final product. But the main points I wanted to get across about the economy are heard:
- We should try an make the effort to shift away from a debt-based economy, and our leaders should be encouraging this. (I also said a lot, in the interview, about living within our means.)
- More financial literacy education is needed.
What do you think can be done to fix the economy?
