No matter what you sell or how you sell it, there seem to be two keys to success. These keys work whether you have a complex sale or you are a coffee barista. They cover both the art of sales as well as the science. Without further ado, here they are:
1. Find ways to make selling fun.
2. Each day, work on a consistent sales plan.
The first point goes to attitude, spirit, enthusiasm, passion, and confidence. If you can have fun with the goods or services you offer, and get others involved with them while honestly having a good time – it would indicate that you are sure of what you are doing, and believe that you are helping others through these products or services.
The second point is the process piece. Plan and execute – work the plan, hone it and improve it. In time you will see patterns emerging. If they are not the right patters, you can change them.
Good news is that it is never too late to modify, tweak, and alter. Dramatic stories have surfaced about people who have made small changes that have led to big ones. I’ll be sharing some here, and encourage you to post your own successes in the comments section.
