Twitter can drive you crazy or help you reach more people. I participated in a Tweetchat this week and have been invited into more and more of them. On the surface, it is chaos. Well, underneath it can be chaos, too, I imagine.
The event I joined in was about Trademark and Copyright Issues (great checklist and links to pay attention to) and the chat room conversation can be found via this #SMBChat hashtag. If you haven’t searched by hashtag before, it is often a quiet little way to discover things. Conferences and conversations often put a little code to their event and topics so that others can easily pull it all up.
Twitter has certainly made them far more popular as a method than they were before. You can read about at Wikipedia on Tags.
The point is twofold: One, the conversation is moving constantly and if you are a small biz owner trying to keep up, don’t discount Twitter entirely. Yes, there’s a lot of waste there, but there are people using it wisely and successfully (see my previous post about Rae Hoffman’s case study).
Second point: If you are trying to figure out the details of trademarks and copyrights, a confusing and complicated topic, for sure, then read the above checklist.
