This week, I’m blogging about Wholesale Trade Shows. We’ve looked at what they are and two of the ways which they’re used: Product Niche Discovery and Wholesale Purchasing.
Another reason for attending a trade show is education. In any given trade show, each day will offer a series of informative seminars on a wide variety of topics. Topics usually are tied somehow to the trade show itself but they can be very broadly tied. Seminars can be held on many subjects areas like marketing, webcopywriting, retail trends, and so on. Seminar sessions are generally 60 to 90 minutes and are scattered throughout the day
I don’t know of anyone who attends trade shows just for the seminars; I suspect most people either skip them or attend a few perhaps. I like to use them to break my day up so I look for an interesting seminar in the middle of the day. After walking the trade show’s massive floor, it’s good to get off my feet and rest for a while, listening to a seminar.
If you do attend a trade show seminar, make sure it is something of interest to you. Many seminars will have material that will have no application to your home-based business. You can get a summary of each seminar’s subject matter ahead of them.
