You’ve garnered a news story…now what?I’m often surprised at how many companies don’t have a Press link on their web site. Some folks have a News release page but what about when you make the news?
Oftentimes we’re so excited that we’ve succeeded in having our company written up that we forget to reuse that story to continue to tout our company.
If you make news, celebrate that win and make sure your clients, potential clients and partners know you’re garnering some good media coverage.
Every time your company is mentioned or covered you need to put it up on your site. What is copyright appropriate is to put a short summary of the story and a link to the original story. This also helps in boosting your presence on the Web as you continue to build your links.
And if you do an email newsletter, always include your good news as part of your mailing. A simple “We’re in the news and a link to the story” will suffice.
The key is to highlight your coverage and build awareness about it and your company by doing so.
Now go and add that link!
