You’re a solo professional, you do your own internet marketing, and you’re hearing all about blogs now as a great tool for staying in touch with prospects. But is it right for you? I read a very good article that pretty much articulates my position, on WebProNews.com
Why do I think they should adopt a combined strategy? Because it makes sense. Not everyone that they are currently reaching with their newsletter is going to visit the company blog, and not everyone that finds the blog is going to want the newsletter. But, the newsletter can aggregate what has been written on the blog, and be sent out to people. So, it’s new content combined with other information, including invitations for product Webinar demonstrations.
My feeling is that this applies to many solo and small businesses. To have the widest reach, you need many avenues for your prospects to find you. As my colleague Patsi Krakoff says, you need a lot of fishing poles in the pond in order to catch more fish.
