Researchers at TNS spent two months surveying 23,000 consumers, across 17 countries, asking respondents about their environmental concerns, and what they’re doing about them. What they found was that the developed world looks like green scrooges compared to developing nations. People in placed like the U.S., the U.K, France, Japan, and Germany reported that 49-64% believe in global warming, and 45-54% are willing to pay more for products that benefit the environment. Compare that to the 84-94% of global warming believers in developing countries, of which 84-95% are willing to feel a financial pinch for eco-friendly products, and all of us “haves” are looking a little less green today.
