Our Monday teleconference (8AM PST / 11AM EST) is a quick call to discuss focus in selling. We all know focus – be it friend or foe…. I know I embrace focus when I’m “in the zone” getting things accomplished, and I seek it out when all is not clicking.
It’s the same for sales professionals. We need focus in our business life to stay on track with revenues while at the same time connecting with more probable prospective customers for future business, and in follow up with existing customers to maintain our customer service level. Then we get bogged down with too many emails, phone calls, and requests so we feel like we’re not getting much done and we’re “losing focus”.
This is a great time to mention my colleague Lisa Haneberg’s book, Focus Like a Laser Beam I highly recommend it – it has three sections to get you excited and energized, tune in your dialogue, and then zoom in and get done what matters most.
The three areas we’re talking about today on our call are:
1. Focusing on revenue attainment – after all, in selling, that is job #1
2. building and nurturing relationships
3. creating an environment around you that pulls you forward.
Join us if you can. Fifteen minutes of talk, and six minutes of Q&A plus comments. If you miss this one, join us next time. We do it every Monday unless there is a U.S. Holiday that day.
If you don’t join us, create your own inspirational topic, or disect the focus topic more, and apply it for yourself. Post any comments as they can help others gain a new point of view.
