The economic crisis is driving a lot of people to start simplifying their lives — whether it’s to cut costs, cut clutter, or just sort out what the heck they want to do with their lives. As a result, there’s a jillion and one articles being published right now on the glories of simplicity. Some of them I find to be a bit mawkish; others simply impractical (2009, for instance, is probably not the year for my family to invest in a bunch of super expensive closet organizing services).
But a friend sent me a link to this Simple Living Manifesto that I found both inspiring and practical. Check it out — I’m planning to try to do at least one of these a day for the next 72 days and see if I can streamline my thoughts, my office, my work habits, and my household.
