It’s a perfect solution for brown-thumbed guys like us who are too lazy to take care of the grass.
Tate Turf Painting started in South Carolina and has since franchised around the U.S. The idea is borrowed from groundskeepers, who frequently paint their golf courses and athletic fields to make them look better.
An average residential lawn just takes a couple hours to paint. The color lasts up to three months. The paint is nontoxic, so it’s safe for kids and pets. The cost depends on the size of your lawn. It runs up around $750 for a large area.
Which to us seems worth it. Because now we can relax on the couch Sunday morning and watch a football game, instead of standing in the front yard with a hose, a beer, and two days’ worth of razor stubble.
The neighbors were none too pleased with that concept.
