Moving from Christmas to conservation, retailers meeting in New York City Jan. 13-16 will focus on how conservation can contribute to profitability. Speakers at the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) annual convention will come from Best Buy, Kohl’s, L.L. Bean and REI.
“As the retail landscape becomes more competitive,” says NRF CEO Tracy Mullin, “the idea of conserving energy and resources becomes more important — not only to gain customers’ trust, but also to improve the bottom line.”
Wal-Mart Executive Vice President Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Leslie Dach will discuss how Wal-Mart has incorporated environmental sustainability into all aspects of its business culture.
