p>Some of us were blessed with green thumbs. Then there are people like myself who seem to turn the green leaves brown just by looking at them. I would love to have plants strewn all over my apartment, but given my lack of talent for all things botanical, that is out of the question.
Or is it? We have all heard the adage that talking to your plants is advantageous to their growth, but what if your plants could talk to you? What if your plants could tell you what it is they need from you?
Well, that is exactly what the Pet Plant by Junyi Heo does. The high-tech and sleek pot evaluates soil conditions, temperature, humidity, and water; then the pot appraises those variables based on the need of said plant and alerts you as to its condition via pictures on an LCD display.
Also smart enough to know if you’ve overwatered, this pot will automatically drain extra water into a vessel away from the plant’s soil. All this state-of-the-art mastery requires power, but a simple USB interface does double duty by charging and transmitting pertinent information to and from computer software, making this the perfect work plant.
