It can be great going on business trips on your own, but how many times have we wished we could walk back into our hotel room and straight into the arms of our beloved ones?
Well it appears that many people have this wish. Business travelers are increasingly taking family members with them, says travel research company K.K. Shifflet and Associates of McLean, VA.
According to their research, business travelers added family on 14% of the 435 million business trips they made last year, that up from 11% in 2000. With such family demand hotels are making adjustments such as Marriott International are establishing a new resort brand called Nickelodeon that will target business travelers heading to meetings and conferences with their families.
“More and more, younger boomers and Gen Xers today are looking for ways to easily mix business with leisure and family fun,” said Chairman Bill Marriott.
Go on then, take ’em with you!
