There is an interesting contest going on right now. The iOme Challenge is open to students who are concerned about the future of retirement, and want to make a difference. Students submit a video essay with their ideas for fixing current retirement issues. Here is what the iOme folks say about the contest:
Submit an essay and video! Your essay and video should address the long-term consequences to your generation if the current retirement system remains the same, and to suggest changes to avoid these long-term consequences. Your essay and video will be judged for originality, content, economic soundness, educational value an accessibility to young Americans.
It looks like an interesting contest. And the prize is just interesting: $16,000 plus a trip to Washington, D.C. to share your ideas with policymakers.
This contest is just in time for National College Savings Month.
