This morning’s San Francisco Chronicle started a series on how health care reform is effecting California. Even Gov. Schwarzenegger, who started out as a hard line Republican, has taken the responsibility of governing to heart and has promised to focus on health care in his State of the State address in January. Massachusetts and San Francisco are putting programs in place, and other states are looking at enacting legislation to help the 46 million uninusured, as well as the other 239 million insured people in the US. The article is an interesting synopsis of where this trend stands now.
I’ve been saying for some time – universal financing is the only way, and it will be here within 10 years – maybe 8.
Happy New Year!
