I get a ton of business books mailed to me every week. Most of them end up in a stack on my desk to be prioritized for later reading.
But when I got “Starting From Scratch” there was something about it that begged me to open it up. And am I ever glad that I did.
This book, by Wes Moss, is the story of 21 ordinary people who made the entrepreneurial leap. People like you and me. They faced the same challenges and obstacles of the typical small business owner trying to get a business from start up to success. Many counted pennies just to get their dream off the ground.
Some left corporate jobs they hated with no certain future of success. Or worked a day job and toiled away until all hours of the night to get their dream off the ground. Sound familiar? The stories are engaging. You’ll find yourself shaking your head yes at the trials and tribulations these business owners detail. And the book is full of common sense lessons that will help any small business owner too.
If you have a chance, pick up a copy. You’ll be glad you did.
