It’s good to read that the sporting world hasn’t shied away from taking green measures. The PGA National Resort & Spa in Florida just received green certification from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Golf courses have long been recognized as water hogs, but PGA has been able to reduce its water usage by 50%.
The carbon footprint left behind from all their travel has resulted in more then 500 NHL players to purchase carbon credits to offset the damage. Indy cars are being run on ethanol and the National Resources Defense Council is helping baseball stadiums across the country go green.
If they could just do something for the Vancouver Canucks, the world would be a beautiful place.
