I’m a definite advocate of using the speaking platform to get the word out about your business. I think it’s one of the most effective methods a small business owner can use to market to the masses.
But there’s a right and wrong way to do this. If you want to speak your way to better cash flow, you have to know the rules. Speaking as a marketing strategy will only work for your business if you don’t sell. You have to provide just the right amount of information at the right time to ensure the audience “gets it” and you don’t give away the store.
To help you get started (or improve what you are already doing), my fellow allbusiness.com blogger Kevin Stirtz has created a handy new guide — The New Rules of Public Speaking. Hop on over and pick up your copy right now. It won’t cost you a dime.
