Want to grow your business? Fellow blogger and small business mega expert Rieva Lesonsky wrote recently not to wait for the government (AKA Prince Charming) to rescue small business – but to take action now. She cited three points – one of which I’d like to expand on:
Raise your profile.
Yes – she said it – get out and meet fellow business owners, potential referrers, and probable customers outside of your normal comfort zone. Rieva suggests, “You need to get out there. Take part in community activities.”
That is why we’re coming to you – 50 towns and cities in 2010 – to help with mixing and mingling, to offer tips, suggestions, and strategies to grow sales – and to bring experts and referral partners your way.
By helping small business, we help the local economy, and that helps our not-for profits.
So, let me as you – what are YOU doing to raise your profile? Reply or email me with your answers. One lucky respondent will win a $20 coffee card – just for stating what it is that you are doing to be seen. I will offer my ideas once we hear from you.
Lori Richardson is on a “Fabulous 50-50-50-50” tour around the U.S. and parts of Canada. If you know of a town she should visit, or a local expert she can co-present with, drop her a note. Set your big audacious goals and post them for the world to see – then take action on them. More on Lori and the tour at Score More Sales.
