Fellow Allbusiness blogger Denise O’Berry has a site, the Small Business Blog Directory, that is a resource you should bookmark. It contains a growing list of small business blogs now numbering in the hundreds.
Why do I recommend this? No, I don’t owe Denise a favor (that I know of). Simply, it’s a practical, real-world resource for any small businessperson intersted in getting into blogging.
It covers a wide range of business categories including: Accounting and Cash Flow, Advertising and Sales, Entrepreneurship, Hiring & Outsourcing, Home Based Biz Tips, Legal Issues, and Operations and Management.
Not only do the blogs contained in the directory represent actual small businesses, they provide a wealth of information and resources for anyone needing to learn more about a given business area. And the directory is searchable.
Here’s a listing of just a few of the blogs in the directory:
Facteon – a blog about accounts receivables factoring.
Mercer on Value – a blog about business valuation and investment banking.
The Newsletter Coach – a blog about email marketing.
Thinking Home Business – a blog written by home business coach Des Walsh.
Affiliate Program Tip Blog – a blog about how to use affiliate marketing.
These are just a few of the many good blog resources available via the directory. Now, I have to say, some of the blogs I ran across weren’t as valuable as others, but on the whole most ranked well in my opinion. As such, I think Denise’s directory is well worth utilizing as a resource for both information and examples of small businesses who blog.
Now having recommended this site, maybe Denise owes me a favor. 🙂
