Slacktivism, the phrase itself a rather lazy haemorrhaging of the two
words slacker and activism, is the counter-intuitive idea that you can
somehow change the world and topple its complacent political classes
without even rising from your chair.
His conclusion is pretty much right on, sad as it may be to admit. As much as I like the path of least resistance, the ease with which we (I) can "do something" with a couple of mouse clicks is pretty deceiving. Sure we "did" something, but it took no time at all. How much more could we do if we just walked away from the ‘puter/tv/book, etc.? (like Todd!)
