One of the advantages in a Network Marketing company for a home based business is that they come with a built in organization and support. The most direct line of support is the ‘upline’ or the person that brings a recruit into the network marketing company. The implication here is that the upline should serve as some sort of mentor to the recruit.
All too often uplines concerned only with fast cash associated with signing someone on, will get the recruit signed up and will never be heard from again. Sign ’em up and move on to the next! That’s not right. An upline should serve a mentor to the recruit at least on a short term basis. The upline can’t always be a permanent mentor because doing so would cut into their ability to grow their home based business. But at the same time, they should play that role at least long enough to get the recruit up and running on their own.
So keep this short term time commitment in mind when you recruit someone into a Network Marketing company. Remember, the responsibility doesn’t end when they sign on. They should be mentored to the point of taking those first steps on their own and tapping into resources on their own.
