Good lord. I just finished reading (and subscribing!) to Steve Pavlina’s blog (via). I can’t decide whether he’s the anti-christ or my new hero. I mean, really. Who graduates from college in three semesters?! That just gives me chills. On the other hand, he’s a great writer and has a fantastic message. He’s articulate and funny and, against all odds, he has no apparent bulging neck veins.
I love his statement of values in his ‘about‘ page. There’s nothing to disagree with there, but there’s no corresponding value for "sit quietly and stare at the wall." I would miss that. Sometimes I just have to stare at the wall. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’d be comfortable filling a whole day with wall-staring. I think Steve might spontaneously combust if he had to stare at a wall for a whole day. Unless it was a goal. Then he could out-stare all of us.
Seriously, I’m in awe. I love the fact that he’s so focused upon lining up his values with his actions. We could all take a clue there. Ok, I’ve decided. Steve’s my new hero. I think I’ll be reading him regularly, and probably ripping off (did I say ripping? I meant riffing.) his stuff on these pages.
Steve, I’ll be in Vegas next week. Wanna hook up?
